Mineralogist & Outreach Coordinator

Jason holds a doctorate in mineralogy from the University of Arizona and has a particular passion for fluorescent minerals. He runs the Conglomerate's school outreach program, bringing rock and mineral kits to classrooms across the country every spring and fall semester.

Head Palaeontologist

Brennen retired from civil engineering in 2015 and has been hunting fossils ever since. He has a knack for spotting ammonite impressions in roadside cuttings that others walk right past. His most prized find is a near-complete trilobite recovered from a limestone outcrop in eastern Nevada.

Lead Petrologist

Jon has spent over 25 years mapping igneous formations across the Pacific Northwest. His landmark study on basalt column formation in Oregon earned him the Geological Society's Merit Award in 2009. He made a chance discovery of rare blue schist that sparked his lifelong dedication to the field.

Sedimentary Specialist

Jack is a self-taught rockhound who turned a childhood hobby into a second career. He maintains an impressive personal collection of over 3,000 labeled sedimentary specimens and leads the group's annual field trip to the Colorado Plateau. He is also the club newsletter editor.
